Elk Meadows

Earlier this month we went hiking with the Coffins up Elk Meadows to see all the flowers. It was hot & the kids weren't the most cooperative luggage to haul, but the flowers were beautiful. It was amazing to see the whole hill-side covered with all these bright yellow blossoms!

Baby Food

I was worried Van wasn't getting enough to eat (& later found out I was right) so I tried to feed him some cereal to curb his appetite. It went pretty well, but he is clearly not ready for it yet & that's ok because I love the time we spend together nursing.

Independance Day

Happy 4th! Van had a great time watching the Stucki's annual fireworks show at the elementary school. He was absolutely fascinated by the bright flashing colors- it was pretty funny!
The next day we got together with the Coffins for a little throw back fun with the Slip-N-Silde!

June Highlights

What a busy summer it's been. We always have so many plans of wonderful trips & vacations, but it seems like we never get around to many of them. This summer has been eventful, but we've stuck close to home.

Brittani & Jace moved back to Idaho with thier 2 little ones. We went camping up near their home in Burley at Lake Walcott and took a road trip to Shoshone Falls.

We spent a long weekend in Bear Lake with our friends (the Coffins, Riebecks & Jensens) where we played in the pools, at the beach, mini golfed, ate a humongous pizza and rocked Guitar Hero! We spent Sunday at Tyler's grandma's house & she spoiled us like always. It was a great weekend!

Blessing Day

We blessed Van on June 1st in our ward. It was really great to have so many of our family & friends there to share the day with us. I never realized how nervous moms get for baby blessings. It seems like Ty was the one who should have been edgy, but he was calm & did a wonderful job. It really reminded me of how special Van is to our Father in Heaven & of what a neat thing it is that as he left Heavenly Father's side, he was sent straight to us. I can't believe how much trust He must have in Tyler & I to raise this sweet little boy in a way that will get Van back to his Heavenly Parents again someday. . . what a big job we have!

Grandma Julie made Van's adorable little suit. He looked like such a little man in it! She did such an amazing job- thanks Julie!!!
